It used to be that the only way to have an inground pool was to have one constructed with cement. Very expensive and labor intensive.

Todays modern prefabricated inground pool with vinyl liners now look just like their more expensive cemented counterparts.

Choosing your next inground pool liner should be done with some thought. The large assortment of colors, not onloy the old classical blue, but also the huge variety of patterns, such as, stones, tiles in a multitide of patterns, fishes, and more can truly transform the look and feel of your pool. Maybe your entire back yard.

The color of the bottom of your pool will much influence the color the water will appear to be. If you choose a dark blue pool liner, the water may appear dark and cold. A bluish-green to turqoise liner will give a more tropical, warm, inviting look to the water and the pool.

Ask to get some samples that can be put into the pool to get a basic idea of what the finished pool will look like along with photos of previous projects of the precise color you have chosen.

Next is to choose the thickness of the liner. The units of measure for pool liners is "mil" 20 mil is standard thivkness, but a 28 mil may last you more years and have less trouble as far as leaks and tears. The liner you purchase should have a UV rating. The liner needs to be able to withstand UV radiation for extended periods of time for it to last many years.

Shopping for inground pool liners is a fun project! With todays fabulous array of choices it should be enough to satisfy even the most selective of pool owners.
