Above Ground Pool
Liners
When looking at above ground pool liners,
you are going to find that many of them have advanced. Today,
there are many liners that are available and they are not
manufactured like they used to be. At one point, they were
flimsy and hard to manage.
However, those days are all gone, because
today, you are going to find
that they are much tougher.
However, those days are all gone, because
today, you are going to find
that they are much tougher. They are made out of a new type of
thick rubber that is fully capable of standing up to the wear
and tear that it will be going through. If you have had a pool
in the past and you have used the flimsy liners, then you may
already know just how quick they tear up.
We have all seen pictures of those torn up
liners from years ago wasting away in the yard. As we write
this article, we are going to take a closer look at those
liners.
Above Ground
Pool Liners
These thick new liners will last a lot
longer, but it all depends on how good you take care of them.
Also, you will realize that the liners look a lot better than
they used to look years ago.
If you have not came across a nicely
finished liner, then you are definitely going to be surprised
as they really do exist. Gone are the days when those above
ground pools had those dull looking liners that didn't have any
style whatsoever.
Today, you will find that they can easily be
installed on the pool and they will have a nice finished wrap
when done. They make that whole pool deck look inviting and
beautiful on those warm days. Those high tech liners really are
something. Honestly, they do not require all that maintenance,
unlike those old flimsy liners.
Did we mention that today it is easier to
have an above ground pool installed than it was in the old
days? There are no county permits needed in order to put that
pool above ground. This is one of the reasons as to why many
individuals have decided to pick those above ground pools over
those in ground pools.
The above ground pool
liners can be purchased online. We believe you will
find many discounts on this product by looking on the Internet.
They can also be found in your local store. Whatever you do,
you should always make sure you do your homework on the liners
before you purchase them. We know you will want to purchase the
newer ones as they are more sturdy than the older ones.
Important
Tips To Help Your above Ground Pool Liner Last
Longer
There are 2 variables you can easily and inexpensively control
to make your above ground pool liner not only last longer, but
also keep it in good shape.
1. A too acid or to alkaline pH in
your pool can hurt your pool liner. We all know that
acids are corrosive, and so are alkaline products. When the pH
in your pool goes below 7.4 the water becomes to eat away at
the pool liner. If the pH goes above 7.6 there will be a slow
buildup that will cause the above groun pool liner to
eventually crack. This is easy remedied by regular checking of
the water pH. pH test strips are very inexoensive and very easy
to use. Check with your local pool supplier and get on a
schedule to test, and when the water is not between the
appropriate range, add the chemicals necessary. This is very
inexpensive insurance to keepo your above ground pool liner in
tip top shape.
2. Water hardness. Swimming
pool water need to maintain a certain amount of calcium (which
is what determines "hardness") in order to keep your liner
healthy. Interestingly, when the water becomes TOO soft, it
will eat away at your liner, and when it is too hard, deposits
will be formed. Calcuim should be at 175-225 ppm. Ask your
local pool supply company to do the test, and add enough
Calcium to be within range. As opposed to pH which can change
rapidly, the calcium content will remain pretty constant,
barrung leaks, and will need to be tested only once per year or
so.
An above ground pool liner is an expensive item. It
makes sense to care for it properly.
